Beverly Hills Teens was a mid-eighties show that had a moderately successful run through the last few months of 1987. Beverly Hills Teens was odd in that new episodes of the show were released every day of the week. This DVD set captures the first half of the shows run, with 32 episodes captured in total. The show has had specific episodes released on the VHS format, but Mill Creek’s version is the first time that viewers have been able to purchase the show’s entire run.

Beverly Hills Teens focuses on the troubles and friendships created by the titular group, a set of very well to do teens from the titular locale. For fans of young adult literature, there is a sort of sisterhood that is created between Beverly Hills Teens and the Sweet Valley High series. I feel that Beverly Hills Teens is a great show in providing equal time to the main cast of characters, rather than having the singular focus that many of the childrens’ shows of the period had (He-Man, She-Ra, Jem).

The quality that Mill Creek has presented the 65 episode run of Beverly Hills Teens is absolutely stellar, at a level that is easily equivalent to the original television airings. As with all the Mill Creek releases, this release is value-priced and can be purchased at any reputable online retailer.  Give the Mill Creek website a spin for a listing of the titles that they will be releasing through the remainder of 2013.
