Portland’s Radiation City has spent the past few years turning heads with their irresistible, genre-bending sound. Combining modern electronic elements with classic styles, the band has received accolades from TIME Magazine, KEXP, and NYLON, among others, recently landing a spot on NPR’s list of “10 Artists You Should Have Known in 2012.” After releasing a buzzed-about debut album and a critically acclaimed EP, the quintet is now gearing up to hit the road for the month of March, bringing their explosive live show to audiences across the West coast and Midwest. Fans will also have a chance to catch the band down in Austin at SXSW.
Known for making unconventional creative decisions – including releasing their EP on a USB drive connected to piano keys from a piano destroyed by the band and covering Outkast’s The Love Below in full– Radiation City has yet another unique treat to share. The band recorded their own version of the classic “Fly Me To The Moon,” turning it into a dreamy tune with smooth, sultry vocals, a bossa nova beat, and an otherworldly solo. You can download Radiation City’s “Fly Me To The Moon” cover as a FREE MP3 where it premiered with PASTE or HERE, and we encourage you to post & share!
