Big D and the Kids Table front man David McWane has said, “There are people who want to be in a band and then there are musicians.” Once in a while a group comes along that makes music simply because they have no other choice – they are addicted musicians. McWane describes the group as – “Modern American gypsies.”

Big D and the Kids Table have been playing strong for over 16 years. They were the first American Ska-Punk band to tour China (which they organized themselves) and have also brought their music to England, Europe, Japan, Mexico, Canada and Australia, with little or no help from the music industry. These Boston natives’ ‘Do It Yourself’ mentality cannot be topped. They are applauded for their own recording, promoting, merchandising and booking.

Now coming upon their 17th year, Big D has raised money through KickStarter to record their two new records titled: ‘Stomp’ & ‘Stroll’.

Why two records? Big D’s style of music ranges from Ska, Punk, Thrash, Dub, Reggae and Stroll — a style of music they’ve created. This allows Big D to appeal to a diverse collection of listeners. By raising money for these two records, Big D was able to record an upbeat Ska-Punk record for their fans who love high-energy music as well as a Stroll-Reggae record for listeners who enjoy the band’s more eclectic sound and, of course, to quench the thirst of the fans of all styles Big D’s music.
