Which artists are you listening to right now? How have they contributed to your overall sound?

ASAP rocky, Kendrick Lamar, big Sean, Kanye, drake and belly plus I always bump my fav classics. Been listening to GMC & Dialect from local artists.  I try to take the best bits of any artist I like and blend them into my style without ever biting their sound, rather to create my own.

What or who do you think will be big in the next year?

There’s so many artist coming thru now it’s hard to predict, but I would like to see GMC hit the main stream. He’s so talented & deserves it.

Trap – how do you feel about the genre, and should your fans expect a track or two from you that is influenced by trap or EDM generally?

To be honest I don’t really listen to it, it does my head in.

Do you craft your flow with a beat that exists, or do you have producers craft a beat for a recorded flow?

Majority of the time I write to the beat, I find u flow better on it that Way, but there is no set method just whatever works really.

What differences in terms of lifestyle, music, or anything have you seen between how the United States is portrayed and Australia?

Personally I don’t believe there is much difference besides guns and murder talk.  Mainstream Australian Hiphop has a distinct sound. But there is also some amazing Aus Hiphop with American influence that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves at all.

How has your style evolved and changed over the time since you first started? Where do you think that your flow will go to in the months and years in the future?

With time there is constant improvement in many areas, from content, writing technicality to flow and delivery, as long as there is constant progression I’m happy with that.

Trippin With My Shades On is your latest cut; Who else in the rap scene have you met and who is out there right now that you would like to collaborate with?

In the future I would like to work with 360 and dialect as far as  Australian rappers, I haven’t met dialect in person but have talked over social networks. He’s a great rapper. Definitely with Styalz Fuego as a producer. I  Would love to get a chance to work with ASAP rocky or drake from the US.

How should people find your music? Are there any mixtapes or singles coming out that listeners should look into buying?

This is an interesting question, last year I made the decision to change my sound as I used to rap with an Americanized accent, which I’ve decided to change for my natural Aus accent. So all my old releases have been removed from the net and my new album “I am Leegit”  is not yet released but is coming very soon.the album features Andrew DeSilva (CBD winner AGT 2012) Belly (Hot girl Ft Snoop Dogg & Make it go Ft Drake) plus many more local talents. It will be a free released album.  So best bet is to follow me on twitter @leegit_smashbox and like my Facebook fan page www.facebook.com/leegitmusic to stay up to date.

What do you think your legacy in rap will be?

I’d die happy being the people’s champ, like Biggie to Brooklyn, tupac to California type thing.

Do you have anything else to say to our readers?

I hope my answers give u a better insight into who I am, and be sure to follow the links I provided to keep in the loop on the free album download.  Without you there is no me #ThatsLeegit
