Bebe Neuwirth’s “Stories… in NYC: Live At 54 BELOW” will be released digitally on November 15th and on CD on November 19th, 2013.  The CD is now available for pre-order at http://amzn.com/B00G9AO1HI. The track listing and cover art were unveiled today by Broadway Records.

Television audiences adore her for her multiple Emmy Award-winning role as Lilith Crane on Cheers, but it’s the Broadway stage that Tony Award-winner Bebe Neuwirth truly calls home. Stories… in NYC was recorded live at 54 BELOW and consists of a collection of story songs by the likes of Kurt Weill, Tom Waits and, of course, some Broadway standards as well. Neuwirth won Tonys for her work in Sweet Charity and Chicago, and also dazzled New York audiences in A Chorus Line, Little Me, Damn Yankees, Here Lies Jenny, and, of course, The Addams Family.

“I’m honored to have our show recorded live at 54 BELOW, and absolutely thrilled by the way it sounds. It takes me right back to that beautiful room, the great audience, Scott Cady’s masterful piano; I had a fantastic time!” said Neuwirth.

Neuwirth’s album is the latest addition to an ever-expanding series of albums recorded Live at 54 BELOW.  “Bebe Neuwirth’s album is the perfect addition to our series,” said Van Dean, co-founder of Broadway Records.  “She is a Broadway legend and this is a wonderful opportunity for her fans to experience this very intimate concert.”

Ms. Neuwirth’s new album is produced by Michael Moritz and executive produced by Van Dean and Kenny Howard, of The Broadway Consortium and Christopher Calkins.  “Stories… In NYC” is the latest in the “Live at 54 BELOW” series that started earlier this year with albums by Patti LuPone, Norbert Leo Butz, Christiane Noll, Andrea McArdle, Aaron Tveit, Laura Benanti and the just announced Michael Cerveris & Loose Cattle.   More albums in the series will be announced shortly.
