Sydney four-piece Convaire master the art of indie-pop with electronic influences and a disco bend. Their new single, ‘Talk In Technicolour’ showcases the diversity of the outfit as their highly anticipated follow up single lends to a more restrained, evolved offering than the synth-pop of their 2011 debut.

Convaire is vocalist/guitarist/songwriter/producer John Towey who teams up with Liz Slattery on synths, Nick Coppola on drums and bassist Dan Talbot. With a penchant for pop and a keen eye for song structure, Convaire make bright electro pop laced with youthful nostalgia. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Talking Heads, Friendly Fires and Phoenix, Convaire have developed a fast-growing fanbase locally and internationally. With the “Talk In Technicolour” track and video already out and about in the world, two remixes that round out the new single recently hit as well. LA-based producer Dino Soccio transforms the original into a melodic house cut, which premiered via LaGaSta, and 16-year old Tyler Touche offers up his take on the track too.

Having taken some time to re-jig their line-up, Convaire’s recent single saw the light of day in October. Recorded with Simon Todkill (Kanye West, Mark Ronson, Catcall) at 301 Studios. Mixed and mastered by Sameer Sengupta (PNAU, Tensnake, Ministry of Sound), the new disco dance floor direction shows a step up and forward for the colorful quartet.
