At the age of 17, Dylan Iuliano recorded and produced his first solo record Disarmonia (meaning Disharmony in Italian) under the moniker The Delay in the Universal Loop.

Dylan Iuliano lives in a small village on a hill in southern Italy (population 500), where time moves at a leisurely pace. The culmination of all his feelings and musical experiences, the album is entirely self-made, featuring Iuliano on synthesizers, guitars, bass, piano and vocals. Influenced strongly by ancient philosophy, each haunting and deeply personal track explores his love for the universe, time, nostalgia and beauty.

The video for “Spasmodica,” the second single off the album premiered on Italy’s Rockit.

“When I wrote “Spasmodica” I was sitting under a thousand year old oak playing my classical guitar and I was feeling so deeply alone,” Iuliano described the process of songwriting.

“In that day I understood I had lost a person with whom I shared a part of me. I felt like she never understood what my soul meant and I thought I would never have been able to share my world, it would be enclosed in me forever. I was exorcising the most human parts of me, then I came out with the simplest sentence I ever written, the one at the beginning of the song, and I understood I answered my own question: where is the sense in chasing you, if we will never reach ourselves?”

Disarmonia is available today worldwide both digitally and physically. Watch the video for “Spasmodica” on YouTube now.
