Shorewood Blu-ray Ocard

The Dragon Ball Z Season One Uncut Blu-Ray set has just been released, and it bundles up the first thirty-nine episodes of this classic Japanese anime in one tidy package. The video quality of the first batch of DBZ episodes is simply fantastic. Individuals that watched the Cartoon Network airings of these episodes will be awe-struck at how well Dragon Ball Z cleaned up. The value-priced release (one will be able to find it for about $25 at Amazon) is a perfect late holiday or birthday gift. This set includes three different language options – there is an English dub, an English language version (as it was broadcast), and the original Japanese-language track. This Blu-Ray set will take well over fifteen hours to complete (975 minutes) and provides viewers with a tremendous amount of background information about Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and the rest of the Dragon Ball Z characters. There are a few additional features that are present here; a trailer for the action that will be presented to viewers, and a set of songs which open and close the show. The artistic beauty of the opening and closing track is maintained through the absence of text.

Strong sales of this initial release will ensure that Funimation can continue releasing these seasons in Blu-Ray format; the second season will likely be released some time in 2014. Visit the Funimation website for more information about Dragon Ball Z and the company’s other franchises.
