Lonerider-Sweet-Josie-Brown-Ale-label

Sweet Josie pours with a very dark color and a small amount of tannish head. The ABV (6.1%) provides a small amount of bite, which provides an additional facet to a sweet, dark-fruit heavy set of flavors. The beer goes down tremendously easily, with great quaffs being de rigeur. As the beer continues to warm up, individuals will be provides with a moderation of the sweet elements and further highlighting of the beer’s malt elements. A nutty side rears its head at points, where it challenges the more cola and coffee elements present in the beer. The specific array of elements present in Sweet Josie will change as one gets further into the beer, and it is this Protean quality that makes Sweet Josie into a must-have. This Brown Ale deftly takes up elements of stouts and porters while remaining firmly rooted in the brown ale format; fans of famous Irish stouts can eagerly pick this up alongside those that want hearty and long-lasting efforts pass their palette.

The Lonerider website has an online store at which to buy properly-branded swag, an often-updated blog, and a full set of events at which Lonerider will make their presence. For those that are looking to get into the Brown Ale format, Sweet Josie represents one of the best efforts that we have ever tasted.
