Fitz and The Tantrums’ “The Walker” Remix EP is available now on iTunes here, Amazon here and at all other digital retailers. The collection features six remixes of the band’s No. 1 Alternative hit, “The Walker.” The Cobra Starship remix can be streamed here and is getting early airplay at KIIS-LA, WPXY, WKSE, Y100-Miami, WKSC-Chicago, and many other stations. Last week Ear Milk gave fans a first listen of the Aston Shuffle remix here and Kick Kick Snare premiered the Vice remix here. See below for the complete track listing.

Billboard summed up the remarkable success of “The Walker” at the Alternative format, noting, “It’s the band’s second No. 1, following last year’s first chart entry ‘Out of My League.’ How rare is it for an act to take its first two charted Alternative titles to No. 1? Only three acts in the chart’s 25-year history previously did so: fun. (2012), Alanis Morissette (1995) and Green Day (1994).” “Out Of My League,” the first single from More Than Just a Dream (Elektra Records), was one of only eight songs to top Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart in 2013.

Following a pair of high profile West Coast radio events – KROQ’s “Weenie Roast” in Irvine, CA (May 31) and Live 105’s BFD 2014 in Mountain View, CA (June 1) – Fitz and The Tantrums will head east, launching their North American headline tour at the Borgata Music Box in Atlantic City, NJ on June 6. Praised by The Washington Post for their “captivatingly crazy” live show and named Vogue’s “Hardest Working Band,” Fitz and The Tantrums will also perform at numerous festivals, including NYC’sThe Governors Ball (June 7), Bonnaroo (June 15), Lollapalooza (August 2) and Austin City Limits (October 3-5 and 10-12). See below for itinerary.

Fitz and The Tantrums – comprised of Fitz (vocals), Noelle Scaggs (vocals/tambourine), James King (saxophone), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), John Wicks (drums) and Joseph Karnes (bass) – bowed with the self-released EP Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1 in 2009 and soon were appearing on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” and touring with Maroon 5. Their full-length debut, Pickin’ Up the Pieces, spent 73 weeks on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart, peaking at No. 1, and they were named a “You Oughta Know” artist by VH1.

The 2013 release of More Than Just a Dream – produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, M83, Depeche Mode, Phoenix) – ratcheted things up several notches. USA Today noted, “the Los Angeles sextet is more than ready for the big leagues” while Rolling Stone said the group “is all about irrepressible energy: hopped-up rhythms, shout-it-out choruses, hooted background vocals.” Fitz and The Tantrums have performed on numerous television shows, including “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Late Show with David Letterman,” “Conan,” “Good Morning America,” “TODAY,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
