Roger Hodgson, legendary vocalist and singer-songwriter from Supertramp, is heading back to North America for a series of fall dates. Following extensive tours of Europe and South America, Hodgson kicks off his North American tour on Nov. 4th in Wabash, Indiana.

Hodgson co-founded the progressive rock band Supertramp in 1969 and was with them for 14 years. He helped define a generation of progressive rock and wrote and sang Supertramp’s globally successful and enduring anthems such as “Breakfast in America,””Give a Little Bit,””Take the Long Way Home,””The Logical Song,””Dreamer,””It’s Raining Again,””School,” and “Fool’s Overture”  – songs that helped the band sell well over 60 million albums.

Hodgson is recognized as one of the most gifted composers and lyricists of our time. He has twice been recognized by ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) for his songs being in the top played songs in their repertory, proving that they have indeed stood the test of time.

Accompanied by a four-piece band, Roger continues to perform all his hits that he recorded with Supertramp plus other classics – such as “Child of Vision,””Hide in Your Shell,””Sister Moonshine,””Even in the Quietest Moments,” plus favorites from his solo albums – “Only Because of You,””Lovers in the Wind,” and “In Jeopardy” – many of which can be found on his current CD release, Classics Live.

Uniting generations, Hodgson is transporting baby boomers back to their youth while giving younger concertgoers a taste of why his heartfelt songs have endured.  North American audiences are once again preparing to experience the magic and spirit that Hodgson created with Supertramp.

  1. Fantastic that Roger Hodgson is touring in the US! I saw him last year while on holiday in Europe and WOW is all I can say. I had high expectations from my favorite artist but did not expect the best show of my life. There is a reason that Roger, co-founder of Supertramp, is referred to as the voice of the band. Not only did he give us all the classics that I have loved for years, but that voice of his still sounds just as incredible, if not even better! Do what ever you have to do to get to a show. Check out his YouTube channel here – http://www.YouTube.com/RogerHodgson.

  2. Roger still has it! I’ve been a big fan since the early days. As a musician, I’ve always had respect for his musical prowess, he sure knows how to write a catchy song! It’s great to see him still out there playing with plenty of energy, and he still sounds as powerful as ever, playing his hits better than the studio versions!

  3. Been to every concert under the sun, can fully say that Roger’s shows are above and beyond all expectations- if you’re used to the artist/musician being distant and detached from the audience, you will just not find that with Roger. He’s a genuine and caring guy, interacting with the audience, listening to and not ignoring us which feels really special. And, frequently dedicating his songs to people in the audience that post on his site Guestbook in the days leading up to the show- Its incredible, that he actually reads them! I’m going to a bunch of these shows because each concert has its own unique magic. Plus, you get to hear the most of his extensive repertoire.

  4. I saw Roger’s four-night run of shows in Milwaukee this past April, and I have to say I am very glad I did. He plays just like he did so many years ago in Supertramp, better even. I was honestly surprised there were many groups of people young and old still enjoying his music, it makes me feel great when I see others of my generation enjoying his music as much as the older fans. Roger & band are great, always finding a way to keep every show original, and the crowd always enjoys it. I’m going to his show in Detroit to experience the magic once again and I would recommend him as a must see for anybody in the area.

  5. Fantastic news! I could see Roger Hodgson in concert every night and still not get enough. Amazing artist and what a show! Each and every song is a treasure in its own right. Don’t hesitate to see this show. See you in CT!

  6. Soooooo excited! I have tickets for Niagara and hoping to see a couple of these other shows too. I’ve seen Roger Hodgson several times and can flat out say I am addicted to seeing him in concert! He does a fabulous show! It’s not just great music, it’s the way he connects with the audience. He reaches right in to your heart and shakes it alive. Can’t wait! November is gonna be a great month!

  7. Roger the co-creator of Supertramp wrote “Breakfast in America” in the time prior to being a part of this progressive group and continues to create and perform his music today. Wonderfully, his 2014 “Breakfast in America” World Tour is about to begin it’s last leg. From the moment Roger walks onto the stage with his band, the audience feels the spell he begins to weave. For some it is the first time they have felt the magic, others they had waited a long time to experience Roger live, buying their tickets months prior and counting down the days.

Roger frequently offer a light hearted, humorous side to the audience, interjecting personal messages to fans who went to his website and left heartfelt thoughts. It is easy to see how comfortable he is with his audiences and they embrace Roger and the band. All one has to do is close their eyes and hear notes of the past but with his current lineup much more vibrant and fresh, for Roger sounds better then ever!! Look for a performance close to you, travels as I did, to see Roger in action, it is worth every penny!! Be warned, you will want to feel his performances again and again……
