Directed by Jesse Terrero, the video for “Calentura” presents Yandel’s irresistibly catchy, passionate number in sensual terms. It conjures an erotic world and the ancient medium of body painting, which throughout history has been used as a means of expression in visual arts and fashion.
The video was shot in Venezuela, at the magnificent Caracas Country Club, better known as “El Country,” where a 55-person team, led by Alenka Obol and Javier Romero, created the clip’s spectacular images in two days. Master body painter Mariela Barrios turned the cast into works of art, with costuming by Adoración González and editing by Carlos Duhaime.
Calentura” arrives following the premiere of another of Yandel’s special projects for Sony, “Legacy De Líder A Leyenda: Tour Deluxe Edition,” and the presentation of Yandel at the famous Festival de Viña del Mar, Chile, where he was awarded with a “Gaviota de Oro” and a “Gaviota de Plata”.
Meanwhile, Yandel continues making his mark on the entertainment industry. Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico, the climax of his Yandel: Legacy, De Líder a Leyenda Tour at 8:00 pm ET/7:00 CT.
