THE GREEN RIVER BURIAL have announced the addition of vocalist Gerald Ruschel (ex-Aeons Of Corruption) to their ranks. Ruschel joined the band to fill the void left by longtime vocalist Mert Trem-Kinski, who stepped down earlier this year.

Ruschel offered the following statement: “It is with great delight that I can hereby announce that I am now a full member of THE GREEN RIVER BURIAL, joining as their new singer. Ever since the start of my own band career and the first shows I’ve played with my latest groups along TGRB, these guys have been an outstanding band example for me. I’ve always tracked the progression of this band in veneration and big respect. Hence I am incredibly happy that I am given this opportunity to create music and play shows with these amazing musicians I’ve always been looking up to. We can’t wait to present you the first release of our cooperation as a band.”

The band has also revealed details about their forthcoming two-track EP, Blight. The EP

introduces the first chapter of a concept-project, which is to be continued on the approaching full-length album. Blight will see the band move towards a darker, heavier and more groove-oriented sound. Blight will be coming out in mid-2015 via Bastardized Recordings.
