G-Two is a collaborative effort between Bend, Oregon’s GoodLife and Enterprise, Oregon’s Terminal Gravity Brewing pours with a very dark brown to mahogany coloration and a considerable amount of off-white / tannish head that laces its way down the glass. The beer has a decent amount of hop nose and a smaller bit of malt aroma; the initial sip of G-two represents a solid blend of bitter and toasted grain with just enough sweetness to obfuscate the high alcohol content of the brew.

The beer is fulfilling without being overly heavy, drinkable without being devoid of bold flavors. There are bits of spice and vanilla that can be discerned while perfumed elements play at the top of subsequent drinks. Pepper and dark fruits conclude G-Two’s unique take on the imperial red style. Where there has been a number of more stoic and plain efforts that have cluttered store shelves in the imperial red format, a bottle of G-Two will possess enough in the way of twists and turns to set off a night just right.

G-Two is available on draft and in 22 ounce bombers. For additional information (release schedules, events) about each of the breweries that contributed to this stellar effort, visit their domains. We have reviewed GoodLife’s Descender IPA and Sweet As Pacific Ale previously.
