The voting is closed, but the night has yet to begin for the Alternative Press Music Awards. Drastically growing to the degree that the show is filling the Q (Quicken Loans Arena, 1 Center Court, Cleveland, OH 44115) this time around, this award show makes for the most action-packed weeknight since the Cavs season ended.  The 2nd annual Alternative Press Music Awards are being held tomorrow (Wednesday, July 22nd) at The Quicken Loans Arena. The night will have a number of live performances including Weezer, Panic! At the Disco, Rob Zombie, Simple Plan, Pierce the Veil and Halestorm. The stars will be hitting up the red carpet beginning at 4 PM, filling in until the 6 PM door opening – the awards show gets underway at 7 PM.

Tickets for the APMAs begin at $60; the sheer amount of bars and restaurants that are within walking distance of the venue will make for a full day of activity. While those with VIP tickets will be given every extravagance, those purchasing general admission tickets will be able to see standard-bearers in punk, rock, and metal along with the acts that will be blowing up arenas through the decades to come. Aside from the live performances, a number of rock luminaries including New Politics, Silverstein, Asking Alexandria, and Never Shout Never will be handing awards out during the night. The full listing of performers, nominees, and awards being given out at the APMAs is available from Alternative Press’ website, while an up to date conversation regarding the show is present through a variety of social media sites (Facebook, Periscope, Vine, Tumblr and more).

For those that will not be in the Cleveland area to attend the APMAs, AXS TV will be broadcasting the night beginning on 6:30 PM. Without cable? No problem, as the awards will also be presented at the AltPress Youtube Channel. The weather in Cleveland is slated to be marvelous, with a high of 74 degrees on a sunny summer’s day – the action may be inside, but the sheer energy will begin to crackle in the hot spots, parking lots, and on the way to the Q tomorrow. Keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for live updates for the night, our thoughts about the performances – we’ll be there with our tops and tails!
