I Got Nothing is a pop track that has a consider depth to the composition; every second of this song has a number of things occurring. Whether it is Scott’s vocals, drums, pianos, or guitar, the specific array of sounds make for a composition that stands up to repeat listens.

Krokoff’s vocals take on hints of Warren Zevon, Bob Dylan, and Gordon Lightfoot. The narrative aspect of I Got Nothing means that listeners will be told a tale over 4:30. Perhaps most surprising in this track has to be how polished the effort sounds; the four-piece headed by Krokoff sounds like a unitary effort. Existing separately from genre constraints, I Got Nothing is a tremendous introduction to Scott’s musical style.
