In Memory Of…  is a pilsner that Baltimore, Maryland’s Full Tilt Brewing has crafted to help out The Military Relief Fund of Maryland. With this beer, Full Tilt has created an eminently drinkable pilsner that is able to refresh and quench one’s thirst while having enough nuance to the beer to keep individuals interested over an entirety of a session with In Memory Of…. The beer pours with a light yellow color and a small, rapidly-disappearing head. Wheat and sugar can be discerned from the initial nose, while grain and a bright, somewhat-bitter finish cleanses imbiber’s palettes and prepares them for the next quaff.

The inclusion of a good amount of hops to the pilsner style staves off some of the sweeter element, giving the beer a constancy that few pilsners achieve. Wheat, malt, and just a little bit of hop bitterness combine to make something fulfilling. This is a rare brew that can bring individuals from macro-brews into the world of microbrews while having enough in the way of twists and turns to appease those that wish to have a fresh take on a lawnmower beer. As the In Memory Of… continues to approach room temperature, small hints of fruit can be tasted. Bits of citrus and spices provide the proper inspiration for an individual to finish the beer.
