Gallamine is a Canadian EDM artist that has just released the single U (Do It So Good) on Blue Label Records. There is a depth to the composition that showcases Gallamine’s considerable array of influences. Hints of 1980s electronic, Italo Dance, and contemporary EDM bubble through at points during U (Do It So Good), but the energy and overall style presented during this single is unique.

Gallamine_400pThe track ebbs and flows to capture the minds and hearts of listeners. The synth plays at the top of the track to provide a certain insistence to the composition, while the percussive elements simultaneously play towards more ambient and driven goals. The richness of U (Do It So Good) ensures that Gallamine can include an extended instrumental section in the first half of the track while keeping listeners on the edges of their seats. The track pops over the five-minute mark, but the path that Gallamine weaves on this single keeps the momentum high from beginning to end. The breadth of styles that make themselves known along with Gallamine’s ability to make disparate sounds create an inspiring harmony means that this single will get airplay well into autumn.

We were lucky enough at NeuFutur to have Gallamine provide us some insights about his influences, approaches, the overall creative process, and the unique qualities of his hometown (Sudbury) compared to the rest of the world. Canadian artists may be familiar with his music, which has been played on the seminal Degrassi along with contributing to the overall energy of Felix Cartal’s podcast, The Weekend Workout.

Gallamine’s U (Do It So Good) is available from a wide variety of services, including iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Apple Music, and Beatport. Blue Label Records has released the single. Keep an eye on his social media accounts for the latest information about this DJ and latest dates, current tracks, and other news coming from Gallamine HQ. If follow-up efforts to U (Do It So Good) provides fans with even a fraction of the complexity and eclectic styling of the single, then Gallamine will have another podcast/radio-worthy single on his hands.
