The premise of the British indie Riot Club is pretty intriguing. Unfortunately, the execution of the movie is not nearly as impressive and falls apart half way into the drama.Set at Oxford, the Riot Club is a centuries-old group made up of spoiled rich kids who do little more than have debauched dining parties and exploit anyone not nearly as wealthy as they are. The movie is billed as a satire of the over-privileged, but that subtlety is lost early on and with no sympathetic main characters to root for, the movie is little more than an excuse to show boorish man-boys behaving badly.
