George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass is a hard-edged and intense track that flitters with a hint of goth; the overwhelming fuzz that is interspersed in this introductory effort bolsters Steve’s vocals, which come forth with a heavy dollop of Neil Young. Iron Maiden’s Run To The Hills is a fairly on-point cover of the classic with a little bit of electronic styles buzzing about with splashy drums and instrumental interludes that take over at points.Gangsta Rabbi

River Deep Mountain High is a transformation from the original Tina Turner track, which has the Gangsta Rabbi taking the track in a very Jello Biafra sort of fashion. Uriah Heep’s Easy Livin’ is a highlight of the second half of this release. A singular focus toward pushing forward with reckless abandon. When things are straight-forward, winner takes all it seems to be the efforts of greatest success for Lieberman. Turning Japanese by The Vapors is the final effort on 4th Pirate, and it gives just enough of a twist to Steve’s typical sound that listeners will be seeking out the next volume.
