Lonerider Brewing Company (Raleigh, North Carolina) is the brewery’s current seasonal, a porter that pours with a brown to dark-brown coloration. A solid amount of tannish head sits on top of the beer. Good amount of roasted malt permeates DeadEye Jack with each sip yielding just enough coffee, brown sugar, caramel, and wheat to keep individuals interested. The beer gains further sweetness as it continues to warm to room temperature, but the inclusion of the aforementioned malt ensures that this porter never loses cohesion.
A small amount of effervescence increases the drinkability of DeadEye Jack, providing further complexity as well as imbuing considerable balance to the beer. Before one finishes a can, imbibers will experience rarer hints of tobacco, oak, and leather. 12 oz can. Lonerider DeadEye Jack is a darker brown opaque brew with a good head of tan bubbles. nose is chocolate and decent darker roasted malt sugars. Texture is silky but also thinner than average. A very decent porter.
