New Holland has just released a Vanilla Chai variant of their popular Dragon’s Milk Reserve, pouring with a dark brown to black coloration. There is  little if anything in the way of head, while the initial nose of the Dragon’s Milk Reserve Vanilla Chai is a little bit sweet and links together sugar with the titular elements. When one is able to take the first sip from the effort, what they will immediately discern is a rich array of flavors including chai, bourbon, vanilla and more than a fair share of spices with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cayenne. The alcohol that would normally be intense and in your face in this beer is hidden masterfully making for something that is dangerously drinkable and absolutely delectable.Dragon's Milk Reserve Vanilla Chai (New Holland)

Dragon’s Milk Reserve Vanilla Chai does much to transform the base beer creating something special; the initial hot and boozy palette is dialed back a little bit as the beer is allowed to warm, granting  a toasted taste contributed by the malt and a bit of hop bitterness to come through at points. The beer remains tremendously consistent no matter where one may be at, meaning that the final pull off of a bottle of the Dragon’s Milk Reserve Vanilla Chai will be as fresh, with as tangled of twists and turns as they were when the effort was first opened. The New Holland website is a stellar repository for information about the brewery’s year-round and seasonal offerings while the social media profiles of the brewery are equally useful when it comes to the announcement of new beers and events. The DMR Vanilla Chai is an limited edition bottle so make sure to pick up a bottle before it finds its way off of shelves.
