Slipknot IPA / Full Sail Brewing

Slipknot IPA, the latest effort from Oregon’s Full Sail Brewery is a well-balanced India Pale Ale that will provide individuals with a good amount of hops as well as enough malts to cut down on some of the bigger elements that tends to be present with a great many IPAs. Slipknot has a bit of wheat and grain that provides further variety to the beer ensuring that one will be as invigorated by the beer at the throes of a 22-ounce bomber as they were when they first cracked the brew.

Slipknot’s hop presence decreases considerably the further one continues along with the beer, something that provides further legs to this limited-time offering. Full Sail has made something that fans of a wide variety of styles can appreciate. By making these overtures towards a variety of styles rather than going through extremes with making this as hoppy as all get-out,  Full Sail made something special. The ABV Slipknot is pegged at works well; where the alcohol burn of a number of double and Imperial India Pale Ales makes for a sharpness difficult to contend with. What Full Sail does here is never go too far to extremes. It is that reason why we have to recommend this brew for anyone that is seeking out balance in what they quaff.

We have reviewed a number of Full Sail’s offerings including their Wassail, Session WheatESBSession Cream AleBockIPA and Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout . Information about the year-round and seasonal offerings of the brewery are available at their main website while additional information concerning the whole array of different beers the brewery crafts is present at the Full Sail social media profiles.
