Hi-Five comes forth with Kit Kat, a single that feels absolutely timeless. The act is able to build off of their late-1980s and early-1990s discography to make something that is sweet while being sultry. The multi-part harmonies achieved by Hi-Five draws upon the Motown sound of an earlier era, while the robust instrumentation of Kit Kat provides further complexity to an already dense and detailed effort. Hi-Five is able to come back with an infectious and fun track that will appease any fan of R&B. This is a tremendous comeback effort, a song that effortlessly ties together the act’s earlier releases with a current and contemporary sound.
