Mark Newman

Mark Newman’s Scapegoat is a lively track that links together blues with a down-home type of southern rock. A sizzling guitar immediately draws listeners in, while a vocal approach that is reminiscent of ZZ Top and 38 Special will keep listeners on the edges of their seats until the final notes of the single. The instrumental and vocal elements push each other to a higher plateau, creating something in Scapegoat that will keep fans’ toes tapping. The vocals are given a little extra oomph towards the chorus, giving further depth to the composition. The inclusion of keys before the three-minute mark gives Scapegoat the momentum to end as emphatically as it began.
