Milow the Girl Featuring Sylvia G - Dreams

Electrified is a wonderful example of a crossover pop track that takes on equal amounts of EDM, alternative rock, and pop to make something that is tremendously infectious and catchy. The backing instrumentation keeps things interesting, while Sylvia G’s passion and charisma bubbles up at all of the right times. I Walk Alone has a retro, late-nineties vibe that is refreshed with a robust snap/clap sound to the backing beat. Fans of retro dance styles will like what’s done here, as Sylvia G’s vocals add a chill sound to this composition.

Let’s Be Lovers has a haunting sound to it that provides further depth to an already complex track. There are so many things going on that listeners will have to spin the effort multiple times before hearing every dynamic that is included within. The disparate section of the tracks are corralled into something that is fun, musically intricate, and bounces around listeners’ minds and hearts long after the track closes up shop.

I Heard You Say is one of our favorite tracks on Dreams as it is stylistically different than the average track on the album. This is a much more traditional alt-pop effort; hints of new wave and eighties goth music can be discerned here. There is a current and contemporary approach taken to the vocals here, making for a track that fans of a wide swath can appreciate. The instrumentation and vocals unite to make for a taut track that will have fans on the edges of their seats. Mondays is a fun track that utilizes a stream of consciousness-styled set of vocals with a bouncy instrumentation; one could easily hear this on pop radio rotation. Dreams is a good album to introduce listeners to Milow the Girl and Sylvia G.
