  1. Spirit level.

Either for hanging up shelves, pictures, or installing anything that has to be straight, a spirit level is a must have as it ensures you are getting the objects level and looking great.

  1. Ladder.

For reaching those projects beyond arms length, it is crucial to have even a basic stepladder because it means being able to reach higher. Also a ladder gives you the stability which you would have been without if you attempted to climb up on to your sideboard or window ledge!! Definitely a must have for DIY, on the Damntools Blog.

  1. Selection of screwdrivers.

Honestly, you cannot do much DIY without the assistance of a screwdriver. There are a variety of screwdrivers to choose from, getting a basic set is a smart idea. Ideally the set should include both a Philips head and slotted drivers in multiple sizes.

  1. Hammer.

Also a necessity. Whether it’s hanging up a picture or even replacing roof slats, you will not get around it by not owning a hammer. A claw hammer is always handy, as it’s also great for removing nails, also. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, but buy a decent, steady one.

  1. Tape measure.

It completely goes without saying that you are in no way going to be able to complete many projects without help from a tape measure. A length of at least 5m is recommended.

  1. Paint brushes and paint selection.

Painting is forever a fast and effective way to renovate your home and having the right utensils truly makes things so much easier- and less stress! It’s a very good idea to choose brushes that are appropriate for all paints to save an extra trip to the shops.

  1. A multi tool.

For all those out to do DIY, you would need to have the best multi-tool in your toolbox. Whether you’re the type of person who likes to tamper with things, or you often find things to repair in the house, a multi-tool is undoubtedly a praiseworthy investment. By having the best multi-tool in your toolbox, you are prepared for almost any DIY challenge.
