Nik Salazar’s Who Am I Kidding is a tremendously emotional track, with Nik’s vocals keeping listeners focused on the composition. Hints of Justin Bieber and Zayn can be heard here, but Salazar does well in incorporating hints of earlier pop performers like Usher and Justin Timberlake. The backing instrumentation (sequenced drums, piano, and guitar) does well in giving Nik a varied and interesting backdrop upon which he can do his stuff. There is enough nuance present in Who Am I Kidding to stand up to repeat spins; multiple vocal layers do well in giving this song a fullness that will keep fans coming back through the early spring months.
