Mont Tremblant is a stunning ski resort located in the heart of the Laurentian Mountains in Eastern Canada. But, it’s not just popular with winter sports enthusiasts; this beautiful part of the world is a must-visit for many different reasons. Here are just a few.

Reason #1. Skiing and Snowboarding

Skiing and snowboarding are the two main reasons for most people to head towards the mountains during a winter month. Although the Laurentians are relatively low mountains in comparison with many of the other popular ski spots around the world, this doesn’t put visitors off. As you ski, you can soak up the breathtaking forest and lake views that surround the slopes; with almost one hundred trails in total to choose from, it’s the perfect destination for skiers and snowboarders of any level so grab your poles or your snowboard bindings and see the slopes.

Reason #2. Beautiful Nature

Whether you’re desperate to get away from the brick walls of the city or simply adore being amongst nature as much as possible, it’s all about natural beauty in Mont Tremblant. Since the resort is surrounded by endless lakes, greenery and friendly deer, this is one of the best destinations for nature-lovers to explore. Don’t forget to take some carrots and apples along for the local deer who’re not in the least bit shy and will come and eat straight out of your hand. If you’re staying at ChateauBeauvallon.com, you can relax at their lakeside floral courtyard.

Reason #3. Vibrant Nightlife

If you like to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life when traveling but also enjoy a night out on the town, Mont Tremblant is the perfect destination. Here you can find a very vibrant nightlife and après ski scene, especially during the weekend, where you’ll often find crowds of Canadians and Americans who travel up to party in the resort. Before you head to the nightclubs, don’t miss out on the local microbrewery, La Diable (or the Devil!).

Reason #4. Festivals and Events

Throughout the winter, guests can find several festivals and events held at the Mont Tremblant resort. One of the most unique and popular events is known as Snow Polo, which is held each year in March and involves international teams competing on horseback on the frozen lake. In addition, those visiting during the month of March can attend the National Alpine Championship. If you’re more of a festival-goer, you can choose from big favorites such as 24 Hours Tremblant, the Rock & Ride festival, and the Rando Touring festival.

Reason #5. Hospitality and Welcome

Lastly, the Québécois hospitality and culture is another great reason to visit Mont Tremblant. Here you will find friendly, fun-loving locals who’re more than willing to offer a friendly smile and helping hand. The native language is French; English is the second language and the culture is a combination of both North American and French. Don’t miss out on trying some of the local favorite dishes during your visit, such as Poutine, which consists of French fries topped with cheese or gravy.
