Famous is a strong effort that showcases the inimitable charisma of Tai Lawanson. The track blends together R&B with a rap flow tyhat takes up the standard of performers like Chiddy Bang and Wiz Khalifa. The bit of horns that provide the highlighting to Tai’s flow adds a bit of energy to the track, making this into a good track to be added to college or pop radio stations. Lift You Up has a retro-sounding backing beat ,calling upon the halcyon days of Paul Simon and reggae music. Tai’s vocals here pull double duty in that they tell a fully-formed story while adding a further depth to the arrangement. Taken together, these two elements ensure that Lift You Up will be an effort that resounds loudly with listeners long after the track (and the entirety of the Greener Lawns EP) ceases to play.

Paper Home is a slower, smoking style type of track. The more laid back sound of the production is the perfect way to maximize the impact of Tai’s flow. The intense, nuanced flow is something that listeners will have to rewind / play again multiple times before hearing every nuance that has been inserted here. The call and response present in the chorus is something that is so catchy that it will tattoo itself deep into the minds and hearts of listeners. A bit of slower vocals are reminiscent of the screwed and chopped style of DJ Screw or of J. Cole. Platform 49 is our favorite track on this EP, and it’s amazing that Tai was confident enough that fans would listen to the composition in its late-album position. The bouncy flow of Tai is something that events the album with as much oomph as it once began. Simply fantastic.
