If you’re into MMOs, then you’re in for a very happy 2018 because there are so many great new titles set to be released.

If you thought that games like Final Fantasy 15 and Elder Scrolls Online were great, then you haven’t seen anything yet. Check out these 2018 titles that should be on your watch list, and which most certainly need to be on your playlist as and  when they’re released too:

Ashes of Creation

Ashes of Creation is a fantasy MMO which has gained a lot of traction on Kickstarter. The alpha zero testing period for the game, which is all about building a small rural village into  a thriving metropolis, with lots of PvP wars thrown into the mix, began in 2017 and it has already generated a buzz that makes it one to watch when it is eventually released (hopefully) later this year.

Bless Online

Another fantasy MMO, Bless Online is one of the most beautiful titles on this list. The worlds you can explore are so beautifully rendered that you’ll want to spend endless amounts of time in them, exploring various dungeons, raiding fields and taming terrifying monsters. It’ll be a blast, so let’s hope that it’s release date isn’t too far away.

Ascent: Infinite Realm

If you’re into steampunk, you’re going to want to keep a keen eye on this beautiful steampunk MMO, which is absolutely stunning to look at. I mean, just look at the airships – they’re beautiful. As well as having control of your own airships, you’ll have jetpacks, dragons, magic and even floating rocks at your disposal. This is one to really get lost in.

Wild West Online

Ever had fantasies of being a cowboy in the Wild West? You’ll want to get in on this game (if you can) which is kind of like Red Dead Redemption set in a much bigger world, where you can interact with other desperados in a surprisingly realistic rendering of the Old West.

Camelot Unchained

Camelot Unchained is a fantasy MMO that borrows heavily from the mythologies of the Arthurian legends, Norse mythology and the mythology of Ireland, so it’s fair to say that it will be a pretty interesting play, not least because its worlds will be largely created by the users and it’s set in a post-apocalyptic world where the veil between the normal world and the world of magic has been pierced!

Legends of Aria

Tipped as the spiritual successor to Ultima Online, Legends of Aria is a Moddable sandbox game where you must use your skill and cunning to hone your skills if you want to make any progress at all. You can play as a crafter, fisherman, adventurer or merchant, so there is lots to do, it’s just a matter of waiting for the final Beta release to become available.

If you try out any of these MMOs in 2018, you are pretty much guaranteed to have a great experience, although you should be aware that many are/ will be in the beta stage once released. So, give them some slack!
