Sometimes your weekend can be a build up of plans, errands and things you just couldn’t get done during the week because of work or other things you have to do. I can see a running theme here. Things we have to do. So when you get a weekend that is pretty much free to do what you want with it, what do you end up doing? Probably wasting the time you do have thinking about what you can or should be doing. Sound familiar? I thought I would share with you some of the suggestions that will keep you occupied and distracted on those rare weekends you have to yourself.

Have a gaming weekend

Many of us enjoy some time on a games console, be that completing a game or talking online and playing competitively. However, many of us will agree that we don’t have as much time as we would like to enjoy gaming. So a weekend with no plans is the perfect way to spend it. A quick look on websites like Game Addik can help you to invest in some  new games that will keep you further occupied. Putting your feet up, getting your headset on, and just enjoying some time playing a game is one of the best ways to spend a free weekend.

Get lost in a boxset on Netflix

When was the last time you got stuck into a box set? Probably not for a while. However, Netflix are always releasing amazing box sets that can have you hooked from the very first episode. So why not get stuck into one on your free weekend? Invest in some snacks, get into your comfortable clothes and enjoy just watching something interesting.

Enjoy a movie afternoon

If boxsets aren’t your thing then why not get stuck into a new film? Again Netflix have some great options but you also have things like DVDs or even heading to the cinema. A movie afternoon is a great way to relax and unwind.

Take on some of those chores you have been putting off

We all have chores that we just don’t get around to doing, don’t we? Especially nw spring has sprung your home could be crying out for you to spend a little time on decluttering the interiors, clearing out the gutters or even some spring cleaning. It may not be your idea of fun, but you will feel organised and accomplished at the end of the day, and your home will thank you for it, that is for sure.

Go out for a walk or exercise

Finally, a free weekend could mean you heading outside and enjoying the better weather. You might want to go for a walk or hike somewhere, or maybe use it as an opportunity to do some exercise outside. Sometimes you just need the opportunity to blow off the cobwebs and clear your head from the usual hustle and bustle of daily life.

I hope that this has given you some ideas on how you can spend your next weekend off.
