According to WWE rumors, following the Monday night Raw Reunion, The Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin has vowed to return to the WWE ring. The WWE Raw Reunion 2019, held in Tampa, Florida, saw the return of several legends from past 20 years of Raw including the likes of John Cena, Hulk Hogan, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair as well as D-Generation’s Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Road Dogg, X-Pac, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Diesel and Razor.
Austin interjected between Hulk Hogan’s music to deliver what many may find to be a moving speech. One of the biggest names ever in wrestling, Stone Cold Steve Austin, has always been a fan favorite even though he has not always on the correct side in WWE. He had led WWE’s charge against WCW in the famous Monday Night Wars in the late 90s. The speech by Stone Cold at RAW Reunion 2019 was quite emotional and had a certain nostalgia about it, as he referred to his friendship with all the WWE Legends. But as per the Rattlesnake’s reputation, the heartfelt speech turned into a one of Austin’s signature ‘Beer Bashes’.
“I’m not a sentimental guy, my name’s Stone Cold Steve Austin and I’m known for dropping people on the stack of dimes that they call a neck. But to go out there with all of my brothers and sisters on this Raw reunion, I hope that they continue to do this every year because I will continue to show up. You don’t need to ride me off into the sunset just yet“, said the Rattlesnake as the fans burst into loud echoing cheers. Stone Cold Steve Austin finally ended his speech by one of his trademark beer celebrations where he was joined by his friends and former colleagues.
Stone Cold’s return at the WWE can be anticipated to be sometime in August. Fans all around the world are looking forward to seeing their favorite Texas Rattlesnake back in the ring. One thing that Stone Cold will bring surely to the table is drama. It has always been drama and verbal feuds around The Rattlesnake and there is no doubt about this time being any different.
The recent WWE results have been very predictable and unappreciated by the critics. Maybe the return of the Texas Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin is all that the show needs for its revival. The Raw Reunion 2019 was more entertaining, with better use of its legends better than any of the previous throwback episodes. Especially the strong trademark Stone Cold promo it finished with, made the Raw Reunion an absolute hit.
