It is not surprising that the Bible is a little obtuse at times. However, the messages that are contained among this prose are still solid ones with which to build a life on. Swoboda’s work in demystifying some of the more challenging bits of this holy book does for me what pastors have been unable to do.

Messy: God Likes It That Way is a book that calls Christians to band together, to understand that we are all in this together, and to stop much of the sectarian strife that has hindered the religion for the last few hundred years. Swoboda writes in an easy to understand format, and one does not need to be too tremendously familiar with the Bible to grok what ey is saying. The title does not only focus on the whole of Christian believers but how God is likely to see the actions of each person. By understanding the sheer amount of factors that go in to determining how faithful one is, one is able to make a better life for themselves, their families, and those individuals that they touch on a daily basis.

Kregel’s release of this title can be found online, or in a great many religious book stores. Make sure to pick up a copy of Messy: God Likes It That Way if you would like to find some previously occluded messages. Beyond that, this is a tract that gets down into the philosophical underpinnings of Christianity. Where earlier authors were able to discuss this, I believe that a focus on Christianity in this fashion has not been done for a number of decades. Messy: God Likes It That Way is a title that is important for all.
