TankFarm Future Sounds Is Proud To Present Shout Out Louds’ Fall US Tour

TankFarm Future Sounds is a unique partnership with a visionary philosophy rooted in an appreciation for great new music and an ambition to help spread the word about up-and-coming artists that are usually not yet on people’s radar in the music industry. It began in March 2003 as a mix tape for friends of Larry Little, a San Francisco-based music manager and DJ. Eventually, music industry insiders caught wind of this filter for new music and the requests for copies started to flood in, giving birth to the first “official” Future Sounds compilation. Benzos’ Band Van Breaks Down, Down, Down

Touring nationwide can simply be a pain in the ass. Locating somewhat healthy things to eat is like finding a needle in a haystack. While finding a place to crash is unfortunately sometimes found in the cold, unforgiving floor of a generous fan. But the biggest headache is when the tour van takes a turn for the worse and breaks down. Continue reading “Benzos’ Band Van Breaks Down, Down, Down”

Calvin Harris Will Be Wrecking NYC & LA This September

Like Lily Allen, Klaxons, Jack Penate, Kate Nash, Jamie T, Calvin Harris is part of those
‘myspace sensations’ breakouts you keep reading about. He was wildly popular amongst The Kids and
on The Club Scene, a cult producer-slash-singer-slash-bedroom-knob-twiddler who can make the
banging-est of pop-dance tunes out of bugger-all kit. The last time he spent any money on gear was
three years ago, when he bought a voice processor for £200. Continue reading “Calvin Harris Will Be Wrecking NYC & LA This September”

Los Angeles Experimental Techno Producer Inanna Preps New Releases

Butterfly EP available now at Beatport; Remixes out in September

With the release of her latest EP on Jook Music, Inanna appears to be ready to reap the benefits from years of hard work honing down her novel, atmospheric sound. With a melodic sense rare among her knob-twiddling contemporaries, Inanna spares the glitch and tweaking in favor of something a little more organic, immediate, and (gasp!) emotional. While the latter may be a dirty word in electronic music, Butterfly manages to trump any expectations of the tag, subtly giving some class to the concept.
