Singer and songwriter Tyler Hilton will release a new five-song EP, entitled Ladies & Gentlemen, on April 20th, 2010. Four tracks, “Sunset Blvd., “This World Will Turn,” “Keep On,” and “I Believe In You,” will be included on Hilton’s upcoming album The Storms We Share, which is due from Reprise Records late this Summer. The EP also includes a b-side, entitled “June.”

Ladies & Gentlemen will be for sale as a physical EP only at shows on Hilton’s upcoming tour with his Warner Bros. Records label-mates The Spill Canvas. A digital version will be available from all online retailers beginning April 20th. The tour begins April 21st in Cedar Falls, IA, and continues through May 23rd. Please see below for dates.

The Storms We Share, which was produced by John Alagia (Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Lifehouse) and Matt Serletic (Matchbox Twenty, Collective Soul), is the eagerly awaited follow-up to Hilton’s 2004 major-label debut The Tracks of Tyler Hilton — an appealing slice of strummy pop Americana that spawned two Top 40 singles “When It Comes” and “How Love Should Be.”

India Pale Ale (6.30% ABV)

It just strikes me that a number of IPAs have not been done right in the slightest. The bitterness that I have experienced form some of these efforts nearly put me off to the style, but Avery has done much with their IPA to bring me back into the flock. Upon pouring this beer, there is a clearish gold tint to the beer itself, while the inviting foam of the head pours pretty lightly. I know that I still will prefer a darker beer whenever it is placed in front of me, but there are a number of reasons why individuals that are wishing to experience a great IPA should pick up a sixer of Avery’s contribution to the style. Out of Bounds Stout (5.1% ABV)

There is a nice, light tan head that pours with decently thick lacing, with a very light nose present outside of the bottle. The initial taste is a blend of toasted coffee and chocolate, having more in the way of bite compared to other stouts. Where the Out of Bounds Stout weighs in as a lighter ABV than a number of microbrewery stouts and heavier than some traditional (English, Irish) ones, there seems to be a distinctive, unique taste that really distinguishes the Out of Bounds Stout as something special. Year of the Dragon – Blunt Force Karma (CD)

Year of the Dragon is the latest act by Dirty Walt Kibby from Fishbone, and it shows that even someone as storied as Kibby continue to innovate and blindside fans with intelligent arrangements, impassioned lines, and a hell of a lot of grit and fire. While the introduction gives listeners a little bit of an idea where Year of the Dragon will go with “Blunt Force Karma”, “Ipso Facto” really seems to me to be the band’s definitive track. Scintillating guitars reminiscent of both P.O.D. and eighties power metal (Judas Priest) marry themselves to a Frank Zappa / Serj Tankian style of vocals. “Destroy Your Fear” is a frenetic bit of hard-rock and metal that skillfully brings forth different genres of music, be it the more tribal metal of Sepultura, more smoothed-out acts like Papa Roach and Seether, and even the industrial crunch of acts like Rammstein. MLB 10: The Show (Playstation 3)

This is the most realistic baseball game that I have ever played, and this is coming from someone that was absolutely astounded when titles like RBI Baseball first dropped. Where there seems to be a small layer of polish placed on subsequent iterations of a seasonal title, Sony has ensured that there are significant upgrades to both the control and the visual components of the title. The customization of the title is beyond comparison, with the entirety of the AAA and AA teams’ rosters covered, while the different custom sides of the title being important enough to raise eyebrows. Honey Brown (Beer)

Honey Brown is a beer that has always been approachable in price while still having a pretty solid flavor and taste when compared to microbrewery efforts, but I must admit that I hadn’t had one in a few years. We were lucky to hook up with Honey Brown’s publicist a few days ago and get a sample shipped out. After chilling out in the fridge, we were able to give the beer a fair shake.
