Chuck Gnome; or how much will travelocity sue for? (iPhone Game)

Lately I have been testing out a new game that just hit the AppStore called, Chuck Gnome. It is a visual treat for sure, and the game play couldn’t be easier/crack candy coated, but it does leave me asking one question; Does Travelocity know about this? I know it’s unfair to lump all Gnomes into a group, I mean Travelocity wasn’t the first place to feature a Gnome wearing a…

Pages Review or; How Far Did The Apple Fall? (iPad)

So, I recently picked up a copy of “Pages”, Apple’s word processor, for the iPad to review. I have been tinkering with it for a few days now, and I’m going to tell you what I think about. What? You don’t wanna listen to my opinion? Too bad; you’re reading it, so it won’t matter what you are listening to. This App, much like most things Apple, is done in…

Hexalex Review

Nathan Gray has decided it was time to reinvent the scrambled, jumbled, and sometimes infuriating pass-time that is dominated by scrabble and it’s clones. Putting words together for point value on a board is nothing new. In fact it’s been done for quite sometime, but it has almost always been done on a square grid board with only two directions to choose from. Hexalex brings a new twist to the…

Sketch Nation Shooter; or The Tale Of The Lazy, But Ingenious Developer (iPhone Game)

App developer Engineous Games has done something very awesome and interesting in a retro sort of way. I’m of course talking about the game entitled Sketch Nation Shooter. The game is an old school 2-D shooter game with an equally cool and retro twist. The game features good game mechanics, decent albeit hand drawn graphics, and a few really cool extra features.

Super Monkey Ball 2 (iPhone Game)

In Sega’s sequel to the smash hit, Super Monkey Ball, Sega has returned to it’s roots in a big way. Keeping this new sequel simple, and true to the original, adding new characters, and a cute set of mini-games, this game is a home run for one of our childhood heroes. And by hero, I mean Sega of course.

Skelanimals Dance Party: Keep The Party Alive (We Hope)…

Independent game developer, Flying Penguin, has partnered up with those cute, cuddly, and somewhat creepy critters called Skelanimals in a new rhythm based game for the iOS platform. Priced at a decent $2.99, here in the USA, this game isn’t cheap enough for an impulse by, but if you’ve got kids like I wish I did, it’s not a break the bank, pull grandpa’s gold tooth and sell it at…

Princess Fury Review (iPhone Game)

In this release from Mo-Star, one can call upon all the rage, and fury that a purple haired princess can muster. This game features old school side scrolling beat-em-up action. There really isn’t too much to this game. You control the main character, who is not named, and form strategies to deploy troops in order to complete your goals. At a modest price of $1.99 US dollars, this game is…

Thumbplay Review (iPhone App)

ThumbPlay music is a streaming app for the iPhone, one of the first to be available in the US. This app is free to download and can be tethered to your ThumbPlay account online. This will provide you with unlimited streaming for $9.99 a month. A fair price I’m sure, but seeing as how Pandora is free, or $36 dollars a year, I’m not sure it’s a bargain. It does…
