Chin Up Chin Up Tour with The Ponys (Not the Ass Ponys)

Chin Up Chin Up is a touring machine! After spending the last month and a half rocking a little place we like to call Europe, the band will hit the road once again touring this crazy nation with fellow Chicagoans The Ponys. Upon return from their US dates the band will take a well-deserved siesta from travel to work on new material with plans to release a new record sometime in late 2008.

The bands last release “This Harness Can’t Ride Anything” is a joyful mix of shifting dynamics, stuttering riffs, and buoyant arrangements all held together by front man Jeremy Bolen’s scratched up discourse.

The video for the self-titled track, “This Harness Can’t Ride Anything” (directed by Eric David Johnson who directed M Ward’s “Chinese Translation” video with help from the animation team UniBros) has been viewed over 250k times on You Tube) CUCU video since its release back in February 2007 and has appeared numerous times on the MTV2 show “Subterranean.” Pitchforkmedia describes it as “soaked in color and Yellow Submarine animation. And like the title track, the video has some some cool little details: The frame shakes and bounces when the song gets to its sparkling chorus, and the venue the cartoon band play is inexplicably lined with candy and soda vending machines.
