Roadrunner Records group Heartist have released a new lyric video for “Heart of Gold” which is featured on their debut EP, Nothing You Didn’t Deserve. The clip is available to stream below. Since 2011, the members of Orange County, California’s Heartist—vocalist Bryce Beckley, bassist Evan Ranallo, guitarists Jonathan Gaytan and Tim Koch and drummer Matt Marquez—have been crafting their explosive brand of hook laden post-hardcore. Nothing You Didn’t Deserve showcases Heartist’s genre-bending-versatility, shifting from metallic riffage to melodic midtempo refrains. With buzz building rapidly, Heartist landed themselves a supporting spot on Killswitch Engage’s current European tour as well as an opening spot on Crown the Empire’s US headline run later this May (see dates below).
