July 2001 – I know why this zine is free, and because of it, it really suffers. Sure, the circulation increases when ad revenues increase, but unless page count rises, then substance decreases. NID suffers from a serious lack of material, sandwiching small interviews in between advertisements for various Columbus-area strip clubs and glamour shots of the large bands to play Columbus. Honestly, for a zine that could do so much more, I felt really bad for it. I mean, they could have even made this better by going and putting a number of show listings, making the zine at least a little bit informative and useful. If one really wishes to get a copy of this rag, go to Columbus. I personally have no clue who created this, as they were too ashamed to put their names on it at any point.
