7 Wonders 2 represents the exact reason why I originally purchased a Nintendo DS. The hand-held, while diverse in the types of games that are present for it, should be used for those doctor’s visits and other time wasting scenarios that pop up from time to time. Mumbo Jumbo is a game company that creates tremendously addictive games, and does so in a way that the replay value never declines. 7 Wonders 2 is their latest console effort, and is one that builds off of the tremendously fun initial 7 Wonders title (accessible in a number of different locations online, and for the DS as well).
For those players that have not had a chance to familiarize themselves with 7 Wonders, it is a title that makes players match three of a similar style. Instead of merely providing players with different speed options, Mumbo Jumbo has varied the experience substantially. For example, there are numerous power-ups that players can use, including score multipliers, clock stoppers, tools to destroy a number of symbols, and even those to switch up the playing board. To keep things fresh, each level that a player completes gives access to a bonus level that limits players to a certain amount of moves.
7 Wonders 2 is bright and vibrant in terms of colors; the different sound effects present are varied enough to not annoy, while the challenge is catered nicely to the widest possible subset of players. There are a number of titles that occupy the same general space, but 7 Wonders 2 is one of the finest. I know I will be playing it on the DS when I’m out and on the PC whenever I get a moment away from work. Check it out today!
