The peppermint and cheese flavors one would presume to be incompatible. We received peppermint-flavored products that seemed more like gum than juices or other snacks utilizing peppermint’s unique flavor profile to great effect. However BellaVitano peppermint cheese is one that we would continually come back to as the array of different flavors that are present in each and every bite are enough to change one’s mind about the inclusion of different types of flavors to their cheese. The Peppermint BellaVitano itself is fairly firm and will pair nicely with chips or crackers.
The creaminess of the cheese is countered nicely by the stronger and sharper peppermint flavor. Rather than being contradictory the unity of cheese and peppermint create something utterly sublime. The dynamic between the cheese and the peppermint elements is slightly different with subsequent bites – it means that some will have a very white peppermint flavor while other bites seem much more forward in regards to the peppermint bouquet. The cheese as a conversation starter but it is one that individuals that wish to taste unique types of cheese should purchase.
