Squirrel Flower’s “Hurt A Fly” has a bit of fuzz, a strong set of vocals, and a catchiness that gradually increases the further one gets into the single. The charismatic vocalsa are spun through a number of fuzzy guitar lines and punchy drums. The dynamic that exists here between the vocal and instrumental sides of Squirrel Flower pushes each to bold new places. We’re in love with the guitar licks that creep into the mix when the vocals fade into the background. I feel that Squirrel Flower’s latest has a considerable amount of replay value as listeners will find new sides of the composition in subsequent plays.
