Danny is an amazingly catchy dance track that will have listeners singing along after their first experience with the track. The absolutely luxurious synths act as the song’s backdrop, while Crystal Starr’s vocals go supersonic at all the right places. This means that Danny is one of those songs that will pack dance floors with its flawless execution. The song is hard to pin down influence-wise; while some of the luxe synth lines feel draws from the late 1970s disco movement, the song feels more at home with the late 1980s dance-pop of a Taylor Dayne. However you slice it, Crystal Starr’s Danny is quite likely the best dance song we’ll encounter in 2025.
