Ben Bostick’s Become Other is a touching, engrossing effort that needs little more than keys and vocals to immediately draw in listeners. The gradually increase in the single’s tempo over the first minute will lock fans in for the long haul. This is a single that will continue to yield new twists and turns the more that one experiences it. Become Other is beautiful in its execution, never once settling into genre conventions. Slightly after the two-minute mark, the shift towards a darker and more brooding sound is welcomed – Ben Bostick’s music here is something to behold.
