Xennedy Cambelle’s Memory Lane is a touching track that will have listeners immediately drawn in by the vocals, which are so honest and emotional that one cannot do much but focus in. The track’s first minute start off fairly sedate before a more insistent, chugging guitar line puts an insistence into the track. The two sides of Memory Lane – the more human, emotive and the heavier, more fuzzy instrumentation – are given equal time to shine. It is when both elements combine late in the track that Cambelle hits a new high. This is a fantastic way to conclude things while stoking that desire to hear more from Xennedy.
