On NYC 1970s Cinema, Distance Major is able to create an immersive soundscape that will require multiple listens for fans to fully understand what has been presented. The keys and distortion rise above the fray, while the light percussive elements do a lot to flesh out the bottom of the track. There’s an energy to Distance Major’s latest that is hard to deny. Hints of 1990s drum and bass and more instrumental elements are able to reach the fore while keeping fans firmly on the edges of their seats.
