The one thing that I have yet to do to my commercial property is paint it. I went through the Google Maps for my location and noticed that it had the same paint job even 10 years ago. Every time that I pull into its driveway, it reminds me that I need to get something done. The paint is fading and peeling, and it makes the building absolutely look miserable. Living in a smaller city, it’s hard to find a really solid company to do my painting work. Below are a list of the various tips that I have learned over time in trying to find the best painters for the cheapest prices.
Look far and wide in your contractor selection
This seems to be a “well, duh” sort of thing, but don’t solely focus your painter search to those firms that are headquartered in your city. There’s a good chance that companies from 10-50 miles away will be able to give you an estimate that is near (if not lower than) what firms in your home city are charging. This is particularly true in the Lone Star state, where painting contractors texas are numerous and the amount of competition ensures that the prices these companies provide will likely be on the lower side of things.
Make phone calls (do not rely on email forms and social media)
I know, it’s daunting to actually go and call another human. I know I struggle with that every time that I have to do business, but the simple reality is that a great number of these firms rely on traditional means of contact. This means getting recommended through word of mouth and taking old-school phone calls, rather than pouring all their time and energy into social media profiles. If you want to ensure that you have the best shot at getting low prices, it is essential that you grab your phone and put in a bit of work calling (and following up with) each of these painting companies. Hell, even look at the Yellowpages online – you might just be able to snag yourself a sweetheart deal from a painting company that has not put energy into establishing a web or social media presence.
Call up ALL the companies
I know that when I was looking for painters, I originally kept to only calling residential firms. However, what places like nomad coatings told me is that they know other companies and workers that they could recommend. Sure, these firms may normally be familiar with business painting or commerical exterior coating, but they possess institutional knowledge that far outstrips what you have. Reach out as wide as possible and you might be able to find a friend of a friend, or someone else that would do your job cheaply that would not show up in any directory or on any list of painters in your area. I wish you the best of luck when it comes to finding painters for your professional commercial painting needs, no matter whether you are headquartered in Texas or anywhere else in the United States.
