We hope that you are doing well today. The band has been straight up busy in the studio this summer with a fairly large collection of songs. We are pleased to share a handful of them with you right now. This record is something we made as a little summer retreat from our ongoing work on the third full length. Many of these tunes have been bouncing around since the…
Moe Green’s new video for the song “Iced Out Lifestyle,” produced by Indecent The Slapmaster, is all about contradictions. The clip includes scenes of a man who appears homeless and yet carries an iPhone. He drinks a 40oz of Steel Reserve in front of an empty building, yet is later shown to be driving Cadillac. The emcee, himself, is frequently shown in front of a sign welcoming you to Vallejo,…
1 – Cacadeur – “Walker (Early Remix)” French. Gentle. Atmospheric. Dream-like and almost sad. Five years in the making. The CQFD prize of (French weekly) Les Inrockuptibles. A good start to the power of ten. 2 – Guards – “Don’t Wake The Dead” Americans playing garage-rock. Typical NYC brutal energy. MGMT, Chairlift & Cults are friends and contribute to their recordings. Richie, the guy behind it all, posts free tracks…

Lauren Pritchard was 15 when she knew that she wanted to make music and she left her home in Jackson, TN to make it in Los Angeles. After finishing school and gigging at various events around town for years, the struggling artist found herself broke and homeless. Thanks to persistent friends, Lauren stayed in LA, and things began to look up when (the) Lisa Marie Presley offered her a place…
I’m a big fan of Dynasty Warriors, but I feel as if the games have too much in common with each other. This means that subsequent games in the line tend to escape my notice, but that titles that look to improve on the formula are truly special. Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes, and particularly the Playstation 3 version, does just that. For those that are not familiar, Sengoku Basara is…

Night Court has seen another season released, this time on the Warner Archive program. At a $35 price point, the 22 episodes of the season can be seen in a way that was originally intended. While the episodes here have not been remastered in any way, the transfer that Warner has given these episodes is simply stellar. For me, Night Court really began to hit its stride beginning with this…
Woodsman Woodsman is an experimental ambient post-psychedelic band based in Denver, CO. The quartet contains two totemic percussionists and two sonic animators who employ electric guitars, feedback loops, and recorded samples to build the dreamy astral soundscapes that define Woodsman’s sound. Influenced by hazy mountain passes, the cinema of Stan Brakhage, and early 1970’s improvisational recordings by Miles Davis Woodsman has crafted aural offerings that are uniquely their own. WOODSMAN…
