Touching upon the self-esteem issue is incredibly important, because practically all the zinesters that I know are crippled…

Scorpi-Oh #4

Scorpi-Oh #4/28 Pages. Another fabulous zine by the equally fabulous Joolie. This time, the theme (if you can call it that) of the zine is the Ladyfest, an event about which I was totally unaware. Well, at least I can say I know a little bit about what it entails, even if I cannot ever go to it. There are lyrics about in this magazine, and by far the best…

Tab the Band – Long Weekend (CD)

Tab the Band start off their “Long Weekend” with “Backseat Love”. “Backseat Love” is an interesting type of track, which showcases a band that ostensibly is in the current period, but comes forth with a sound that links the angular sound of acts like Franz Ferdinand with a classic rock style that is reminiscent of Rick Derringer, older Aerosmith, and even Ted Nugent. “Looking Pretty, Pretty” continues with the sharp…

AMF Bowling Pinbusters (DS)

Myself and the fiancé always go out on Mondays to bowl, and it is perhaps that most fun that I have during the week. Scorpi-Oh #3

1/2 size – 24 pages. This zine is completely different from most others that I’ve seen since it deals exclusively with mix tapes. All the magazine is is mainly lists and different descriptions of each of the mixtapes, which seems like a pretty bland topic for a zine, but Joolie makes it interesting by adding some amazing personal flares to this zine. This includes hand-scribbling various backgrounds and the like…
